Original Carbon versus Carbon Pro

NYX Golf has been creating original eyewear designs for over three decades. Over time, our designs have evolved and improved. The Carbon-series frame and lens system exists in two versions: the original "Carbon" style, and the new "Carbon Pro" design.

Please review the images and description below before ordering replacement parts for any Carbon-series eyewear.

Both versions of the Carbon feature interchangeable lenses and a lightweight, wrap-around base frame. However, the lenses for the Original Carbon are NOT COMPATIBLE with those for the Carbon Pro.

The Original Carbon style was manufactured prior to 2018. It features a tall lens with a prominent notch in the center of the lens where it attaches to the frame, as shown here (pictured: Neutralizer Medium Gray Lens - colors may vary):

NOTE: The Original Carbon is now discontinued, however replacement frames, lenses and nose-pieces are still in stock and will continue to be offered while supplies last.

The new Carbon Pro lenses feature more sleek design with a deep notch on upper outside corners. The center may have a small hole, or no hole. On the right upper corner there is a laser engraved "NYX" logo. An example is pictured below:

NOTE: The nose pieces for Carbon and Carbon Pro are compatible across both lens shapes.
